Google enhances Android's performance on some smartphones
Description de l'artGoogle announced on its blog that it has changed an Android component that would enable the OS to function better overall. This is a new development that, while it only affects a few cellphones at the moment, could eventually benefit all smartphones. Good news for Android users! Thanks to a minor tweak made by Google, they will be able to utilize a more seamless system that could eventually make a significant difference. Google is now in charge of the 16K Android pages. The new management of 16K pages by Google will lead to an increase in Android performance reviews. It's normal if this doesn't make sense to you. On its blog, Google explains that Android will now "respond to the size of the pages," handling 4K pages just as well as 16K pages. More specifically, developers will be able to switch between 4K and 16K pages on the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro running Android 15 QPR1 beta 1. It makes for a lovely jamb. To further decipher this news, keep in mind that not much will change at this time as long as the number of affected individuals is small. However, over time, this will result in a general improvement in performance across all Android devices. This will show up, for example, in higher-quality videos, more responsive games, and more fluid applications. Google clarifies: To put it another way, Google is currently offering developers a new tool to enhance Android speed. The American behemoth claims to have seen a 5–10% improvement in overall performance as a result of using larger pages. However, there is a little trade-off: just 9% of additional physical memory is used. When one considers the significant IA consumption of RAM, the reason why the Google Pixel 9 has 12 to 16GB of RAM is now clearer. Source: Android Developers' Blog
